Dr. Michael Vitlic 

Veterinarian BSc (UNSW), BVSc (USyd)

Dr. Michael Vitlic is the Head Veterinarian and owner of Kingsgrove Animal Hospital, bringing over 15 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery. He is committed to providing the highest level of veterinary care in a compassionate and professional manner, ensuring both pets and their owners feel supported every step of the way. His dad jokes are improving with age, something he is quite proud of.

With a strong focus on soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, as well as post-operative care, Dr. Michael ensures each pet receives thorough, personalised treatment. His approach is centred around clear communication, working with families to develop the best care plans for their pets.


Dr. Tina Huynh

Veterinarian BVSc (USyd) 

Dr. Tina Huynh is a valued member of the Kingsgrove Animal Hospital team, having joined us in 2019 as a relief vet before transitioning to a part-time role. She brings a wealth of experience from working in a range of busy veterinary practices across Sydney since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2016.

Dr. Tina has a special interest in pocket pets like rabbits and guinea pigs, and she is passionate about improving dental care, balanced anaesthesia, and overall pet wellness. She takes a comprehensive approach to health by offering diet, lifestyle, and nutraceutical recommendations tailored to each pet’s needs.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Tina has pursued advanced studies in myofascial release, laser therapy, and dry needling, particularly to manage pain and arthritis in aging pets. She is also a certified Animal Rehabilitation Practitioner (CIVT, 2023) and a member of the IAVRPT, with plans to further her qualifications in animal physiotherapy.

Dr. Tina enjoys bush walking, pilates, meditation, and spending time with her own dogs whom she loves pampering with a good massage.


Dr. Yip Bun Leung

Veterinarian DVM (USyd)

We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Yip to our team in 2024, joining us from his previous role at Summer Hill Vet Hospital. With a passion for providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care, Dr. Yip brings a wealth of experience and a calm, friendly approach that both pets and their owners love.

Dr. Yip has a particular interest in behavioural medicine, helping pets and their families better understand and manage behavioural challenges with empathy and practical solutions. He also has extensive experience in veterinary dentistry, ensuring every patient receives the best possible oral care.

Known for his attention to detail and approachable, light-hearted manner, Dr. Yip quickly builds trust with animals and their humans alike. He is currently pursuing further specialist study in Behavioural Medicine, continuing his commitment to advancing his knowledge and providing the most up-to-date care for every patient.


Dr. Michael Grima

Veterinarian BSc (Hons I), GraCertvetStud DVM (USyd)

Dr. Michael Grima joined Kingsgrove Animal Hospital in early 2020, bringing a wealth of experience in small animal, aquatic, wildlife, and zoo medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons I), with majors in Immunology and Microbiology, a Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Studies (Wildlife Health), and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Sydney.

Dr. Grima’s professional interests include pathology, internal medicine, dermatology, oncology, ophthalmology, and the care of exotic and aquatic animals. His background as a medical research scientist in infectious diseases and immunology further enhances his approach to veterinary care.

Before joining the team at Kingsgrove, Dr. Grima worked at several practices around Sydney and has a special passion for working with scaly, feathered, and slimy friends. He also regularly assists with wildlife conservation and enjoys caring for his tropical fish and tree frogs.
